Announcement - Windsor Show 2021 Print E-mail
Monday, 29 March 2021 16:14

It is with profound regret that the Officers and Committee of Windsor have, with great reluctance, found it necessary to cancel our show this year.

As it is generally known, Home Park is not available to us this year, however with the invaluable assistance of the Royal Windsor Horse Show we continued to make plans for our show to be held on an alternative site in the Windsor area.

Unfortunately, the insurmountable problem we finally faced was in providing all the infrastructure necessary to run a fully functioning show in a safe, secure and viable manner.

We are fully aware of the disappointment this will cause to those who are our loyal supporters and exhibitors and for those who had perhaps decided that, this year, Windsor would be their introduction to the dog show world, but our overwhelming concern has to be to run the show in an enjoyable way with the comfort and safety of both exhibitors and their dogs as our main priority.

We will of course be contacting all our judges, stewards, trade stands and support workers with this disappointing news.

After the necessary long period between our shows we hope to give everyone our usual warm welcome to a vibrant and traditional Windsor Show in 2022.

Irene Terry
Secretary

Windsor Show 2020 cancelled due to Covid-19 Print E-mail
Tuesday, 14 April 2020 20:18

All will be aware by now of the advice issued by the Kennel Club regarding the staging of events. Although our show, scheduled for 2nd to 5th July, falls outside their recommended date of 30th June, to cancel events, our show set up starts well in advance of the show dates and as we are unable to guarantee the required medical cover and ancillary support services necessary for the show we have decided that cancellation is inevitable and an early advice of the situation preferable for all. Your health and wellbeing are of paramount importance to us at Windsor.

For those exhibitors who have entered online, refunds will be issued by Higham Press less an administrative charge of £5. Any cheques received that have not yet been presented will be destroyed. Any cheques already paid into our bank will be refunded by the Society. In both instances please be patient and allow time for your fees to be refunded.

It is with regret that we have made this decision but hope that all who contribute to our show, in whatever capacity, will understand and join us for our 2021 show when we hope we can meet again in happier circumstances.

With our best wishes to you from the Officers and Committee of Windsor.

Irene Terry

Hon Secretary.
